My favorite Chocolate and Coffee Breakfast Smoothie

Sometimes all I want for breakfast is a healthy smoothie, but I still crave my morning coffee! So I created my all time favorite chocolate and coffee smoothie so I can have the best of all worlds. This smoothie is full of bananas, chocolate and coffee and will leave your tummy feeling satisfied and full so you can get thru your mornings.

This recipe does take a little prep work, but once you get in the habit of making these simple smoothie preparations you will be enjoying these delicious breakfast treats daily!

Do you already make a pot of coffee each day? Most of us do, and what do we do with the un-drunken coffee left in the pot at the end of the day? Well, you might say…I dump it down the drain. Stop that habit now!

Instead, grab a ice cube tray and fill it up with that coffee. Stick it in the freezer and step one is done!

Next, it’s bananas!

Same goes for those Banana’s. Just a bit more prep work. Do you have black and bruised bananas sitting on your counter? Before throwing them in the trash (as long as they are not gross and mushy black) chop them up into 1/2 inch bits and put them in a freezer baggy, and you guessed it, pop it in the freezer as well. )One banana per bag. Or if you are a little lazy you can just throw the whole banana in the freezer as is.
OK so now your prep work is done! That wasn’t so bad was it? And you probably feel a little better about yourself because you have not wasted any bananas or coffee:)

Here is what you will need to complete this yummy treat! I call this sweet deliciousness a Chunky Monkey!

Chunky Monkey Recipe

4-5 cubes of frozen coffee
1 frozen banana
1 cup of Vanilla Almond Milk, or Milk of your preferance
1 tablespoon of Chocolate Coco Powder

Place all ingredients into a blender and blend till smooth. This recipe makes one Chunky Monkey so if you want to share just double or triple up the recipe.
