My husband and I travelled to Cuba in 2006 with a group of eight friends for a wedding. Cuba was actually never on our bucket list as thought of destination for some strange reason, but when our friends asked us to come, it was of course a no-brainer! Beach vacation and wedding all in one shot, why yes! Of course we would be there!

Cuba is known for it’s white sandy beaches, it’s rolling mountains, cigars and rum. It’s colorful capital, Havana, where we stayed, has a well-preserved history of Spanish colonial architecture in its 16th-century core, Old Havana. This is a definite must see.

Since we were there with a wedding party it only made sense to stay as a group and the most affordable thing to do was stay at the resort where the wedding was being held.

It just happened to be an all -inclusive resort. Adults only! We stayed at Melia Las Americas. A beautiful five star resort with everything you could imagine, a golf course, stunning views, white sand beach, many pools, the list goes on and on…

But of course you can’t just stay at the resort the entire time, or you can, but that’s not really travelling!

You have to get out and site see! Go on adventures! See things you’ve never seen, do things you’ve never done!

So we did…

If you want to learn more about my travels to Cuba I would be happy to share, just shoot me your questions!

xoxo Ali
